Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship (BDGS)
The Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship for Foreign Students (BDGS), administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provides fully-funded scholarships tenable in Brunei Darussalam for the academic session. Available at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), and Politeknik Brunei. Covers full tuition fees, monthly personal allowance, accommodation, round-trip economy airfare, and medical/health insurance. The scholarship is awarded for the full duration of the program subject to satisfactory academic performance. Applications are submitted online through the BDGS portal. Note: The scholarship is intended primarily for international students studying for the first time in Brunei Darussalam.
Eligibility Requirements
- 1Open to citizens of countries with diplomatic relations with Brunei Darussalam (Filipinos eligible)
- 2For undergraduate: age 18–25; high school graduate with excellent academic results
- 3For master's: age not exceeding 35; bachelor's degree with upper second class honors or equivalent
- 4Proficiency in English (IELTS/TOEFL may be required by the university)
- 5Not currently holding another scholarship
- 6Intended primarily for first-time students in Brunei Darussalam
