CHED Merit Scholarship Program (CMSP/BPMSP)

The CHED Merit Scholarship Program (also branded as Bagong Pilipinas Merit Scholarship Program) is a competitive government-funded scholarship for academically talented Filipino SHS graduates. It covers tuition and other school fees, a stipend of ₱35,000 per semester, and a book/connectivity allowance of ₱5,000 per semester. Full Merit covers up to ₱120,000/year at private HEIs and ₱80,000/year at SUCs. Additional ranking points are given to PWDs, Indigenous Peoples, solo parents, and first-generation college students under special equity provisions.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 1Filipino citizen
  • 2SHS graduate with minimum GWA of 93%
  • 3Combined annual gross parental income ≤ ₱500,000
  • 4Must enroll in a CHED-recognized priority program
  • 5Additional points for PWDs, IPs, underprivileged, solo parents, first-gen students
