Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC)

The Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS), administered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), provides full funding for international students to pursue bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degrees at Chinese universities. Covers tuition, accommodation, monthly living allowance, and comprehensive medical insurance. Language requirements: HSK Level 3-4 for Chinese-taught programs, IELTS/TOEFL for English-taught programs.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 1Non-Chinese citizen in good health (Filipinos eligible)
  • 2For master's: bachelor's degree holder, under age 35
  • 3For doctoral: master's degree holder, under age 40
  • 4For bachelor's: high school diploma, under age 25
  • 5Must meet language requirements (HSK Level 3-4 or IELTS/TOEFL)
  • 6Must submit a valid Certificate of Non-Criminal Record (Police Clearance) issued within 6 months
  • 7Undergraduate applicants must take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) and submit a valid score report
  • 8Must provide a pre-admission document from the target Chinese university
  • 9Must NOT be a current recipient of another Chinese government scholarship
