Fulbright Foreign Student Program (Philippines)

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program, administered by the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF), is the flagship U.S.-Philippines exchange scholarship. It enables Filipinos to pursue master's or doctoral degrees, or non-degree doctoral dissertation research at U.S. universities. Covers round-trip international travel, monthly maintenance allowance, tuition & fees, book/supplies allowance, and health insurance. Requires returning to the Philippines immediately upon completion.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 1Filipino citizen (no dual citizenship, no U.S. permanent residency)
  • 2College degree with major in field of specialization; excellent undergraduate record
  • 3At least 2 years of professional work experience after college
  • 4Proficient in English
  • 5In good health to pursue graduate work in the U.S.
  • 6Must return to the Philippines immediately upon completion
