Santo Tomas Academic Scholarship (UST)

Named after the Patron Saint of the University, the Santo Tomas Academic Scholarship is awarded to incoming college freshmen who are Valedictorian (Top 1) or Salutatorian (Top 2) of their SHS batch. Top 1 receives 100% defrayal of total fees plus a learning materials allowance. Top 2 receives 50% defrayal. Applicants must pass USTET and a qualifying scholarship exam. Renewable per term: 100% for QPI 1.00–1.20, 75% for 1.21–1.45, 50% for 1.46–1.75. No grade lower than 80%, no failing grades.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 1Valedictorian (Top 1) or Salutatorian (Top 2) of SHS batch
  • 2Must pass UST Entrance Test (USTET)
  • 3Must pass UST Qualifying Examination for Scholarship
  • 4Original certification from SHS principal with school dry seal
  • 5Renewal: No grade lower than 80%, no failing grades
